I have had my punctal plugs for 4 months. One has fallen out and the opthalmologist has pushed the other one back in before it popped out. He says they often work themselves out. If I have to get them put in every 4 months then I might as well look for a more permanent solution. Can anyone tell me about their experience with having the lower puncal cauterized?
