  • I probably should be more embarrassed...

After I bit of searching here for acupuncture posts, I came across this one:
    http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/showt...ght=acupunture
and read the comments about plucking nose hairs as a way to induce tears.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit, I just tried it.

I'd like to say it worked but it didn't. Oddly, it didn't hurt either. Not sure if lack of pain and lack of tears is related when it comes to nose hair. It certainly doesn't work that way with chopping onions -- plenty of pain with no tears.

You have dry eyes if no tears when chopping onions!

I don't really like onions, so haven't chopped any since my eyes became super-dry. But years ago I poured tears when chopping them. I can't imagine not tearing, unless you're a chef and have learned tricks to avoid it. Burns like crazy.
