Could this have caused my sudden dry eye?

My dry eye started 3 months ago. And I realized something around that time I may have done....

I keep my contact solution next to a similar looking bottle of witch hazel... it's an astringent. Here is a link to it: http://www.amazon.com/Dickinson-Orig...ds=witch+hazel


Anyway, what I *may* have done is soak my contacts in it overnight once. Do you think this has caused my sudden onset of dry eye?

this is alcohol. if you soaked your contacts in this overnight and then put them in your eye, your eyes would have been on fire the second that you put the contacts in.. if you are not sure that you even did it, i doubt that you did.

What he said. No way you could do that without knowing it. I would think soaking soft contacts in alcohol overnight would destroy them.
