Great relief from dry eyes after using Triphala Ghrit (ayurvedic medicine
I've written this else where ... not sure if that is against the rules, but, I feel that I've benefited from everyone else's input here that I want to share my "success". I was dire and desperate. I have been suffering from MGD since 1998. I'm 51 years old and it took forever to diagnose. I've tried everything imaginable and I've seen a gazillion of specialists. Ocunox has been my saviour. I use it at night and sometimes even during the day if I'm desperate (it does end up making the skin around my eye greasy and it does make my eye makeup smudge), but I feel better and my eye looks MUCH better (less swollen and sore). Above and beyond that, my TBT (tear breakup time) has improved from a 2 to a 6. This was performed through a machine (can't recall what it's called, but it also shows your glands ... it's a brand new machine). I can't tell you how much I recommend this stuff.
Anyone else have good results from taking 2 teaspoons Triphala Ghrita morning and night? I've just got back on it in the last 2 weeks. Will be interested to see if my eyes appear less irritated and whiter. I have dry eye and blepharitis (the meibomian glands dont seem to secrete the lipid layer as well as they should).
I tried triphala poweder instead of triphala gritha at bed time with hot for atleat 1.5 month and I feel great. I felt for moistire in my eyes after a week of usage of triphala. Now I onlu have 10% of dry eye.
I also used omega fatty 3 acid capaules and homeopathy medicines prescribed by my homeopath..
Ashru-tear secretion is an integral component of the ocular surface physiology; when compromised (quantitatively or qualitatively) lead to shushkakshipaka (dry eye syndrome) with various ocular discomfort symptoms and ultimately the patient may land in ...
You did not get my point. Triphala Ghrit is for all types of skin - dry, normal and oily. Trust me, it really works.
What I said was I am going to consult a kerala ayurvedic doctor to change my body type from dry to normal or oily. So that it even helps dry eyes to become normal.
I have too much oil often in my tear film, doesnt sound like it would work for me
I will try this. I only ordered the stuff you ingest first. I am nervous of putting anything in or around my eyes that my doctor doesn't know about. this sounds promising though, even if it gives a little relief. I only ordered one bottle just in case it makes me sick and I can't use it. Hopefully it comes soon, but who knows...
Hi Faith,
Just curious if any luck with this stuff?
Thank you for sharing!
