Hi ...I went to Boston/ny last week and thought I would post my experiences. First at Boston I saw drs. Jacobs and Kwaok. They determined I was not a candidate for prose because I still had pain with the lenses in. They sent me for a corneal scan at mass eye and ear to see if I have corneal neuralgia.
Dr. Latkany. Does not believe in corneal neuralgia. He looked at my eyes and said I'm not aqueous deficient but might have allergies, even thought I've been tested multiple times with no results. He said to try once a day soft lenses for 3 weeks. If they help then my problem is exposé. Ie big eyes and not closing all the way. If they don't help then its an allergy that's rare and not tested for.
Oh dr. Jacobs recommended neurontin or lyrics, lacertics, steroids, and serum.
Boston was a great experience and I felt like they really cared. Dr. Latkany was interesting but I don't know if I would Tavel cross country to see him again. He did give me a name of a good allergist that tests for everything bit he's in NYC. Anyone know someone out west?
Pm me if you have any questions about my trip and visits.
