Hi there, I'm 29 female who has suffered from MGD since I was 17. The main issue for me is the constant meibomian cysts and chalazia I keep getting. When I was younger I didn't fully understand the condition so had over 7 surgeries to remove the cysts but I believe this has my dry eye and glands even worse. I have three chalazia now and have had two ipl treatments recently but if anything they caused more chalazions and swelling. Found no relief, I have my third session today and worried I will have another cyst following this. I use blephasteam daily, massage lids afterwards and take omega 3 but this doesn't help the cysts at all. Has anyone have any advice for me? I have taken doxy before but the issue returned after I stopped these.

Hi! I found the site by a general search for scleral lenses. I just received my second pair and never thought I'd ever see this well again! Thanks for letting me join!

I'm being seen at the OHSU Casey Eye Institute. The medical contact lens fitting specialist suggested dryeyeshop.com. I learned about this forum there.

Hmm... I found Dry Eye Zone in 2013, running a Google Search for dry eye syndrome. I had just been diagnosed with DES, plus Blepharatis, by Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, after some gen. practitioner at an urgent-card facility mis-diagnosed me as having pinkeye! That 'false alarm' prevented me from returning to work for over a week..

I googled "recurrent corneal erosion" because I hadn't heard of it until I was diagnosed with it, and definitely didn't know anyone else going through what I'm going through. I've been lurking, but it does help me feel less crazy knowing that other people have dealt with it, and I'm not overreacting.

I knew the existence of this forum but what really got me intrigued is the sticky post of pythonidler which described a strikingly similar background and development of dry eyes to that of mine.

Hi everyone. This is bankerxyz. I am a retired bank manager in my late 60's. I have been reading the information posted for dry eyes. Mine started about 8 years ago and have been steadily getting worse. I have tried the lipiflow and other treatments that helps temporarily but it gets even worse when the treatments are over. I have seen items such as bovine serum and probiotic eye drops that I would like to try but I don't know where to purchase these items. I am in the US and would appreciate any information on these items or any treatments that have helped others. I would like to have Lasik surgery but I am afraid it will make my eyes even worse. I had a test for Sjogrens but they couldn't tell me yes or no on the results.
