Hi Everyone,
well i am 29 and have been suffering with my eyes for about 2 month's, at first the doctors thought it was infection, then they thought allergy so gave me drops, but that didn't work, then they refered me to an opthamologist and he diagnosed dry eye, i had the schirmer test (i think that's what it is) and i had a score of 7 in one eye and 5 in the other and he also put some illuminous dye in my eyes....i am using VISCOTEARS every hour (im a postman so being outside in the weather not helping) and also LACRI-LUBE which i have to use on a night......to be honest the relief is only slight, i have to say my eyes dont itch as much but they still feel strained and they are burning lots it really is getting to me, i also have a defined crease under each eye, more noticable under one eye than the other, i supposes that's because of dehydration??. I have read a few posts and amongst the younger people that suffer it just comes on so quick, like me, one day i was fine, i woke the next and started having problems with my eyes........is this going to be a life issue or can it be a case of it could just correct itself and the eye will start to lube itself again? its also so great to find a forum with people who are on the same wave length with the same problem.......from the info on the net, they say that its a problem for older people ( 66 plus) and is seen more in women than men....
take care all
