Has anyone found a successful way to deal with scleral veins that leave the eyes looking bloodshot?
Over the past 3 months, I have noticed a lot more redness due to a few red veins and some tiny pink ones that get more prominent when they are irritated. I went to Dr Latkany, who dx'd occular rosacea and some possible allergies. He wanted to start with artificial tears, Pazeo, cold compress on eyes and looking at triggers i.e. trying a week without makeup. Doxycycline is next but he prefers to prescribe that in October when the sun isn't as bright.
The bloodshot eyes have ruined my life for the past few monthss--no dating, no nothing because I look so odd. I'm basically a hermit. Has anyone found a succesful solution. Even if I only got 50% improvement, that would give me my life back.
I'm so grateful for the way people in this community help each others. It's amazing how much I've learned here.
