Hi,
I hope the moderators are ok with me posting this as I feel this information could help so many people with dry eye or other chronic health problems.
I have started a blog: www.naturalbornfoodie.com (I am no longer using detoxplanet.org)
Following a question from a DEZ member I have written a blog article on how to detoxify naturally which may interest people:
HOW TO DETOX ON A BUDGET: BOOST YOUR GLUTATHIONE LEVELS
The blog is about natural healing with food/nutrition and detoxification and practical tips on how to eat healthy, diet, nutrition and recipe ideas.
After 10 years of suffering with severe dry eye which was debilitating I am now 90% better thanks to a whole body detoxification approach. Not only have my eyes improved but so has every other symptom that I used to experience such as fatigue, brain fog, anxiety and others! The underlying cause of my severe dry eye was heavy metal toxicity, gut dysbiosis (candida) and nutritional deficiencies. I was deficient in Magnesium, B12, all of the essential fatty acids (including omega 3- no surprise there), zinc and I had low stomach acid so I wasn't digesting protein efficiently. Despite taking high quality fish oil for 3 years my omega 3 and 6 levels were very low and the reason was that the nutrients weren't being utilised by my cells due to heavy metal toxicity.
I am now training to be a nutritional therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and my aim is to help others remove the underlying causes and return to health.
Dry eye is curable! Don't listen to doctors who say there's no cure, they only say this because drugs don't cure anything. The body has evolved over millions of years and is infinitely intelligent, more so than any drug, it is able to self correct and heal its self, but it needs the correct nutrition and other tools in order to do so. Most people eating a SAD diet (standard american diet) have nutritional deficiencies and as a result toxins accumulate in the cells. Heavy metals (such as mercury, aluminium etc) replace zinc, magnesium, iodine and other minerals in enzyme binding sites and this results in cellular malfunction, inflammation and disease.
