  • Filamentary Keratopathy and n-acetylcysteine drops

Hi all, long time Sjögren’s Syndrome with severe dry and inflammed eyes. Lacriserts worked well for me for several decades but now impossible to get so switched to autologous serum drops. Two months in with the serum drops and it seems they are not working for me as now diagnosed with Filamentary Keratopathy and moved to n-acetylcysteine (NAC) eye drops. Wondering if anyone else here has had a similar diagnosis and treatment and what the result was? Also are you using anything with the NAC drops. I’m only 24 hours in and i am getting relief but my eyes still feel a bit dry. Many thanks.

HELLO. I can't say for sure but is one of the main symptoms of Sjorgens syndrome mucus under the upper eyelids? I get that all the time. Thanks a lot.
