Itching is usually due to allergy. Maybe you are allergic to something in the lipisome spray?
Crusting is usually a sign of bacterial infection. Is there a lot of crusting?

You may need to see a doctor.

hm hm hm i would ,like to say that my eyes are a bit better right now but no lol, they are pretty bad, i recently got clearly meibomium spot on the lid which i have not had since months, my eyes have begun to itch (why???), crust have reaperaed in the morning at the corners on my eyes, every blink is difficult (sticky, sometine even a little painful) and same problem with Wind outdoor.
btw i received my wraparoud glasses ( no Wilex Airrage in France ), they are not perfect ( Wind can enter into my eyes) but its better than nothing and with friends i added a bit of foam.
But the problem is not about these glasses lol, the problem is that i won't be happy if my eyes are not improving cause wilex is not a treatment for me, i have been for months without going out and thus without any attacks of Wind on my eyes and no change.
just so confused about whats going on and why nothing works for me ( O3, allergy eye drops, Warm compress, Doxy, eye drops, homepathy...). do not have motivation for anything anymore
lipiflow will be a life saver or not lol, lipiview is for Friday my finger are very very crossed for it , i really need a miracle and i think i deserve it, can't do more than what im doing and what i have done

Nicolas ~ that's so good to hear, that you are noticing what makes things better for you to bring about healing. We consult and pay the docs, yes, for their knowledge and experience, but at the heart of this problem, you are taking control of those good steps for improvement from where you are right now.

yes castor oïl is acidic lol, the docs said it was supposed to "soft my eyes" but no its just burned. About steroid drop or anti inflamatory drop there is oftena preservative likke BAK so it could be at issue for the extra dryness.

I have Refresh in my fridge, its composed of Povidone, use it sometine but Vismed with sodium of hyaluronate is better for me.

some décisions i made in the night since i think i have rosacea so i should go easy with heat: no more hot shower lol will be just warm or even cold and will shorten the warm compress =>5-6 mns instead of 10 with Blephasteam.

Whenever I use a steroid drop, anti inflammatory drop, or an allergy drop it always makes my dryness and eye pain worse. Castor oil is acidic and that's why it and Restasis burns.
(Castor seeds shouldn't be processed anymore anyway because they're neurotoxic to the people who have to touch them because they contain ricin)
Do you have Refresh Plus in France? It's almost like plain saline but hypotonic which is supposed to be good for the ocular surface. It feels good in my eyes to use occasionally.
    Good luck with school.

Yes, if you are massaging the lids but the glands are not opened, plugged with fibrous tissue for example, you can definitely make things worse. I began massaging without knowing that my glands were blocked and two weeks later I was no longer to open my eyes.

lol thx for the infos but that is too much for me ( can't ask everything to my parents since they pay everything). okay for omega 3, i take them daily, same for doxy, about my MG, i don't want to speculate anything, will see. Maybe its my massage that is not optimal i don't know but Lipiview will be a great help for me.

Warm compresses should have melted the thick toothpaste-like meibum. If you are having no success with warm compresses, the temperature may be too low or you may need to do compresses more frequently, or, most likely, your mg's are blocked with fibrous tissue at the orifice or possibly deeper. To remove the fibrous tissue, you need something more than heat. In this case, probing is the best solution. It's best to probe before proceeding with Lipiflow since the heat and massage won't open the glands and the meibum will have no where to go but further into the glands which is harmful and not beneficial.

A very low dose of doxycycline e.g. 20mg daily, can help to clear up the meibum by reducing inflamation in the glands.

O3 is also important. The cells use O3 to synthesize meibum. If your 03 to Omega 6 ratio is poor, the mg glands will use the 06 instead of 03 which contributes to inflamtion and poor meibum quality.

I've found that eliminating all foods to which I have sensitivities (not allergies, this is different) has helped tremendously with inflamation. You have to be tested for sensitivites as it is virtually impossible to figure out the sensitivities any other practical way.

Was the bad solution Bausch and Lomb Renu, or did your normal contact lens solution go bad?

honestly i don't think, contact lenses are over since 2012 for me, but before ihad a bad solution so it must have worsen things.
about my eyes, they have always been irritated since i got my problem and of course as the dry eyes was worsening, irritation did the same.

will look about oïl-based dropsb since its my problem.

Is there any chance you still have infection from the contact lenses or solutions? Eg Have you had periods when your eyes have not been red?

About my MG , one eyedoc said that my glands were blocked with toothpast-like oïl, another said that i have mild-blepharitis, but no, nothing precise.

im eating ok i think, it has been like 1 year that i have not drunk sodas, eaten sweets. Maybe not enough vegetables, will work on this
and lol why these omega 3 are not working??!
but my eyes are pretty dry right now, and warm compress does not seem to do much(4 months of it and no improvment) a bit worried about that, maybe for my case, massage alone is not enough, i think i might need something like lipiflow to unblock that oïl??

I don't know, Nicolas ~ it's about finding what works for your eyes personally. I would think the worst problem is the eye surface changes. We tried punctal plugs just on the lowers and they worked great on improving the tear film, but we are dealing with infected MGs from skin problems so the inflammatory enzymes pooled up and affected the eye surface adversely.

Have you had a good assessment of the quality of meibom and how many MGs are working, as NotADryEye says? We are on a really healthy diet (both of us), mainly cutting wheat and all sugars (including fruit juice) and bad fats, and that is helping. Are you eating OK? It's difficult to look after that when we are not well. Vegetable soup with beans for lunch today, for example.
