How did I contract dry eye? I had cataract surgery and developed an eyelid disease. Then only the 1 eye that had the eyelid disease developed dry eye. The other eye which is fine also had a vitrectomy. This is quite interesting as usually both eyes become dry.
I used the rice baggie recently and it helped quite a bit as the dry eyelid was swollen and red. It opened up the gland and allowed it to drain. What a relief! I still have throbbing in the affected eye.
