  • Welcome to new members...

It seems like we're growing in leaps and bounds lately - several new members almost every day. I hope you are all able to find helpful information here and on our main site at www.dryeyezone.com.

I am curious to know how you are all finding Dry Eye Talk. For example are you searching on a dry eye term and the bulletin board comes up... or are you finding us through the dry eye zone or dry eye shop... or seeing links on other sites... or?

    Finding dry eye zone...

Personnally, I found the site while I was looking for explanation regarding dry eyes.
I think I simply tiped the key word "Dry eyes" and openned several windows related to the topic, and then I found this forum...
But I think it also helped that I saw the link on the Keratos association website.
Hey, nobody said life would be easy right? Please mum, next time you give birth to me, spend more time on the conception of my eyes, okay?

I found the main site via web search. Dry Eye Talk, specifically? I liked the way the main page was laid out -- the "Looking for this...Try these links" thing, and Talk was the first one. I started reading some of the forums and thought everyone seemed nice

        How I found you

I read Dr. Steven ******'s book and he mentioned moisture goggles. I literally ran upstairs to my computer and typed in moisture goggles. Yours was the second site to come up. PRAISE THE LORD!!!

          finding dry eye zone

I was searching for dry eye info and pulled up the zone. It was easy to navigate even though I had never been in a discussion or talk site before.

I found the site through the list of resources at the end of Dr. Latkany's book.

I found it from searching something like dry eyes, it's the only forum I go to, I might search for articles on something that pops up on the net, but it's here that I get some starting points of things to look for - necessary as eye doctors here have NO idea, it's just something they wave you away with and give you a box of very standard drops.

Everyone is great on here and I've felt at home enough now to post a bit myself.
                just keep swimming...

I was looking for dry eye products and I found this site through the dry eye shop. I forget what I typed in, but I think it was dry eye care or something like that. Anyway, I'm really glad I found the dry eye shop and really glad I found this forum too.

                    floaters

I am new to this. I have problems with my eyes at night. Waking up with a lot of pain in my left eye. I just ordered the sleepwear and cannot wait to try it. I would like to know if anyone knows if floaters are related to the dry eye problem, I have massive annoying floaters in my left eye??? thank you.

(I know that this is for Rebecca, but...) Yea! I'm so glad that this site will get some recognition. It has helped me so much, that every time anyone even mentions having dry eyes, I say something about it, but word spreads slowly that way. Thanks, Dr. Mike!

I know this is off-topic on this thread, but if you have massive floaters, you need to get to a retinal specialist immediately, if you haven't done so already. You may have a detached retina.

                              New Member and a Nurse

I am a new member and an Registered Nurse. I was a hospice and home health nurse till being diagnosed in May 2007 with advanced pancreatic cancer.
My chemotherapy ended in August 2007. The chemotherapy caused my dry eye condition and a host of other problems-but I am still alive and kicking!
I am on hospice care presently.
