It's an in depth article on how a team of Japanese scientists were able to successfully regenerate tear and salivary glands in mice. Here is a short video on it as well:

This article has been published on here before but I was wondering if there were any new updates, news, or information regarding this? I can't seem to find any information after 2013, and was wondering if this is still being actively researched.
This seems very promising, this is a terrible condition to have and it would be wonderful if dry eyes had a more curative solution than what's been given to us.

x also why am I not surprised it's a Japanese study? They always seem to go about it completely different and get great results. Not suppose to offend anyone just to say. I hope they keep up with this, I'd love to be able to get this as a new surgery? Option hopefully. I was going to post this today, but I won't cause you already did. But I'm really interested in the study itself, there are so many different ways to go about it.
